Watts Science Olympiad

Watts Science Olympiad (Watts SO) is preparing for another great year of Science Olympiad!

Watts SO Student & Parent Information Night is on Thursday, August 20 at 7pm in the Watts Middle School cafeteria. 

The entrance will be the main door at the flagpole.

The Watts MS Science Olympiad (Watts SO) program is for all Watts MS students in 6th through 9th grade interested in advancing their understanding and interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). 6th-8th grade is open enrollment; 9th-grade enrollment is only for Watts MS alumni and by invitation of the head coach only.  More information will be sent to registered families and will be presented at the Student and Parent Information Night.

2026-27 Watts MS SO Registration Packet

Step 1: Complete the Student Commitment Form (Due Sep 15, 2026)

• Student Registration / Initial Sign-Up Notification 

• Event Declaration form will be emailed to registered students

Step 2: Download, Print & Sign remaining registration documents (Due Oct 27, 2025)

• Student Code of Conduct 

• Parent Acknowledgements 

• Emergency Medical Form

Step 3: Registration Payment: Turn into Head Coach or Watts Front desk in an envelope labeled SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

• $40 Materials Fee: Due September 26, 2026.  Check made out to "Centerville Science Olympiad Organization" or cash in a labeled envelope or PayPal

• $100 Registration Fee: Due November 7, 2026. Check made out to "Centerville Science Olympiad Organization" or cash in a labeled envelope or PayPal

• $54 Pay to Participate Fee will be billed directly to student's account in December

• Overnight tournament fees (only for students on overnight competition rosters) are DUE one week before the tournament (~$150 per tournament).
